As part of a HK $10bn development project, the T1 Midfield Concourse installed 6,000 of Zoeftig’s InFINITE seating range for passenger comfort.

The average passenger travels with 3 electronic devices, so the need for at-seat power was an essential addition to the Zoeftig product and the project.
Zoeftig took advantage of OE’s custom capabilities to create two custom power units to meet the requirements of the client. All OE power units were produced to color match the new seats and feature Zoeftig’s full closed-system cable management to ensure maximum passenger safety.
The power within the seats utilizes OE’s replaceable TUF USB charger so that damage to the outlets caused by travellers didn’t result in a shutdown of the seating and negatively impact traveller experience.
TUF became such an integral part of the specification that it is now the sole choice for Hong Kong airport, saving them time and money, and improving customer experience whenever a USB port is damaged on site.
